We just launched
CMDI Logic's web site and started releasing the press releases through PRWeb and PRLeap. Yes, the beer was flowing, last night.
It looks like a small site and what's the big deal, but the site represented the first non-retail application we've ever developed completely from scratch. From the database connection to the admin to the landing page manager, Rasa Design Studio designed, programmed, wrote and is now marketing the site. I'm proud.
Throughout, I learned a lot about an industry that my father was always into, but I had always ignored: Real Estate Investing.
CMDI Logic, LLC is owned by Cornell Dayne and the purpose of the company happens to coincide with a real issue for property sellers that are stuck holding unwanted property because of the credit crunch: The company simply buys property. Lots of it. In cash.
As we were developing the marketing plan for the company, we realized that there was a long list of seller niche markets that were desperate to sell property for a variety of reasons that I had never thought of, before: Divorce settlement, a job promotion requiring relocation to another city, marriage between two people in different cities, imminent foreclosure, court judgement... even property owners that were looking at jail time.
O.o
In Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland, the property is at least as expensive as in Boston and New York City. The ability to secure a mortgage from a bank has become nearly impossible for the average buyer. Thus, sellers are stuck with a dream home that has become a ball and chain.
To have a company like CMDI Logic swoop in and offer cash for the property must seem like an angle has come out of the sky for many of these people... I really loved developing this company's site and writing the copy. There was a real sympathy for the people we were trying to reach... as well as a rich opportunity to gather real estate that was out of reach for most people.
Anyway, the site is launched. Any critique would be most appreciated.
I hope you're all enjoying weather that's as beautiful as it is, here.
